Curriculum Vitae – Margot Baird

 

Margot Baird is an internationally exhibited artist having had solo exhibitions in 4 continents in addition to copious group exhibitions nationally and internationally. Primarily a painter she has also worked extensively in mixed media, printmaking, ceramics, photography, mosaics and sculpture. As well as teaching and lecturing in art Margot has worked professionally as an interior designer in both residential and commercial projects and as a contemporary art curator and art gallery director, operating a highly reputed gallery for 11.5 years.

Commissioned works other than paintings include lead light window designs (private clients) USA; a collection of 50 hand painted tiles for the Beaconsfield Hotel, St. Kilda, Victoria, Australia;  a 47 metre long mosaic wall, private residence, Perth, W.A. Australia; and several sculptural artworks including a figurative relief panel for the reception area of the Murray St. Lodge, West Perth, W.A. Australia.
